1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of Anjezne, and information from third parties.
Account & Profile Data
When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (hashed), role (freelancer, company, or customer), profile photo, bio, portfolio items, skills, and country.
Transaction Data
We collect records of orders placed, delivered, and reviewed, along with payment method metadata (card brand, last 4 digits) processed and stored by our payment provider, Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
Communications
Messages exchanged on the platform between users are stored to facilitate the service and to investigate disputes.
Usage & Technical Data
IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, time spent, search queries, and error reports collected automatically when you use Anjezne.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
Connect buyers with freelancers and facilitate order fulfilment.
Process payments and prevent fraud.
Send transactional emails (email verification, password resets, order updates).
Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
Improve platform features, fix bugs, and monitor performance.
Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
3. Sharing Your Information
We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
With other users — your public profile (name, avatar, bio, reviews, portfolio) is visible to all visitors. Messages are visible only to participants.
With Stripe for payment processing under their Privacy Policy.
With cloud infrastructure providers (Railway, Vercel, AWS S3) solely to operate the service.
With Resend to deliver transactional emails.
When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Anjezne or others.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with advance notice to affected users.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences (e.g. colour mode, language), and understand how the platform is used.
Essential cookies — required for authentication and security. Cannot be disabled.
Preference cookies — store UI settings such as dark mode and language.
Analytics — we may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand traffic patterns. No cross-site tracking.
You can clear cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes (typically up to 3 years).
Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — request we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion — request we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Object — object to certain processing activities.
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

7. Security
We implement industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords (bcrypt), scoped IAM roles for cloud services, and regular dependency updates. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at security@anjezni.com.
8. Third-Party Services
Anjezne integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
AWS S3 — file and media storage (aws.amazon.com/privacy)
Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/privacy)
Google OAuth — optional social login (policies.google.com/privacy)
9. Children's Privacy
Anjezne is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact privacy@anjezni.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Anjezne after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
