Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Anjezne. They define your rights and responsibilities as a user of our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Anjezne ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Anjezne. "You" refers to any individual or legal entity accessing the Platform, including freelancers, companies, and customers.
2. Eligibility
You may use Anjezne only if you:
Are at least 16 years old (or older if required by your country's laws).
Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
Are not prohibited from using the Platform under applicable laws.
Provide accurate and complete registration information.
By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to access most Platform features. You agree to:
Provide truthful, accurate, and current registration information.
Keep your password confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Not create more than one account per person (unless explicitly permitted).
Not transfer your account to another person.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Roles & Conduct
Anjezne has three user roles: Freelancer, Company, and Customer. Each role unlocks specific features and responsibilities.
All Users
Act in good faith in all interactions on the Platform.
Provide honest reviews and ratings.
Respect other users' intellectual property and privacy.
Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
Freelancers
Only offer services you are qualified and legally permitted to provide.
Deliver work that meets the agreed specifications by the agreed deadline.
Accurately represent your skills, experience, and portfolio.
Companies & Customers
Provide clear, complete, and accurate project requirements.
Pay for orders promptly and only request revisions within the agreed scope.
Not attempt to circumvent the Platform to pay freelancers directly.
5. Orders & Gig Contracts
An order is created when a customer or company purchases a gig offered by a freelancer. Upon order creation, the following applies:
The order constitutes a binding contract between the buyer and the freelancer.
Anjezne acts as a marketplace intermediary and is not a party to the service contract.
The freelancer must deliver the described service within the stated timeframe.
The buyer may request revisions as specified in the gig description.
Upon buyer acceptance or automatic completion (after the review window), funds are released to the freelancer.
Neither party may cancel an order unilaterally after work has commenced except through the dispute process. Mutual cancellations are permitted at any time before delivery.
6. Payments & Fees
Payments are processed by Stripe. By placing an order, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Platform Fees
Anjezne charges a service fee on completed transactions. Current fee rates are displayed on the Pricing page and may be updated with 14 days' notice. Fees are deducted automatically from order amounts before payout to freelancers.
Refunds
Refunds are issued only in the following circumstances: a mutual cancellation agreed by both parties, a verified dispute resolved in the buyer's favour, or a technical error that resulted in a double charge. Refunds do not cover buyer's change of mind after work has commenced.
Taxes
You are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on income earned or services purchased through the Platform. Anjezne may be required to collect VAT or similar taxes in certain jurisdictions.
7. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment and order completion, the freelancer grants the buyer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the delivered work, unless the gig description specifies exclusive transfer of copyright.
The freelancer retains the right to display the work in their portfolio unless the buyer has purchased an explicit confidentiality add-on.
You retain ownership of content you upload to your profile (photos, portfolio items, descriptions). By uploading, you grant Anjezne a limited licence to display and promote that content on the Platform.
The Anjezne name, logo, and platform code are the intellectual property of Anjezne and may not be used without written permission.
8. Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited on Anjezne:
Fraud, misrepresentation, or identity theft.
Offering or requesting illegal services of any kind.
Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse of other users.
Circumventing the Platform to conduct transactions outside of Anjezne to avoid fees.
Creating fake reviews or manipulating ratings.
Uploading malware, viruses, or harmful code.
Scraping, crawling, or automated data extraction without written consent.
Impersonating another user, business, or Anjezne staff.
Sharing account credentials with third parties.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
9. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a buyer and a freelancer, either party may open a dispute through the Platform. Anjezne's support team will mediate based on the evidence provided by both parties.
Anjezne's decision on disputes is final and binding within the Platform. We are not liable for outcomes you disagree with provided we acted in good faith.
For disputes between you and Anjezne directly, you agree to first attempt resolution by contacting legal@anjezni.com. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may pursue legal remedies.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund of platform fees or pending order amounts.
Anjezne may suspend or permanently terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We may also discontinue the Platform at any time with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Governing Law survive termination.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
ANJEZNE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR LEGALITY OF SERVICES LISTED ON THE PLATFORM, NOR THE TRUSTWORTHINESS OF ANY USER.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANJEZNE'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
ANJEZNE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes not resolved through the dispute process will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the jurisdiction where Anjezne is registered. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform before the effective date.
